Dallas Space Spectacular

Well it is that time of year again to start out planning for your annual Christmas party. After last year’s success the real question is how could you ever do better? Well for starters, you can’t have the best Christmas parties at the office, you need to have them out in the real world where everyone would have a reason to have numerous severe fun. What better place to hold a Christmas party then at a local restaurant. They have the space, they have the feed and they unquestionably have the beverages to host your party, so why not?

Well unfortunately, it comes down to timing. Most of the well-known restaurants who cater to parties will tardily get started booking up the popular days for other parties. What this means is that the longer you take resolving on a venue, the less venues which will be available for you to choose from. Don’t be left having to throw your party after Christmas is over like numerous humans do each year.

The best restaurants to have a Christmas party in are the ones that have the bars; preferably a lot of sort of open bar set-up because no one wants to party without the booze and no one will actually wants to recompense for them after all. It only makes sense. But before you may think regarding all of the logistics you need to find out which venues are still available. They are going more quickly then you would believe so don’t take to long planning for the Christmas party.

an excellent package

While neither performance would be my numero uno pick, both come fairly close. I love both of these works; combined with Delos’ usual outstanding sonics, one could do far, far worse. My favorite “Planets” remain Boult’s final LPO one (1979, EMI); Previn/LSO (EMI), and Levi/Atlanta S.O. (Telarc). But Litton runs them close. Same holds for “Zarathustra”. There, my favorites would include Bohm/BPO; Karajan/BPO; Steinberg/Boston (also coupled with The Planets, by the way) – all on DG. But again, Litton runs them close, and with generally better sound quality.

Outstanding performance!!

This is an excellent recording by an excellent orchestra. I was there for the recording of “The Planets” and it was wonderful. Wayne Marshall, though showcased more thoroughly in an earlier piece in that performance, is one of the most gifted organists that I have ever heard and on the beautiful Lay Family Organ in the Dallas Meyerson Symphony Center he sounds better than ever. This recording is an excellent reproduction of the real thing and the Dallas symphony sounds superb on both pieces. Well worth the price!
